How Ligra Backup handles Google data

Ligra Backup is a private utility that sends encrypted VPS backups to a Google Drive controlled by the same owner. It does not offer accounts or storage services to the public.

1. Overview · ภาพรวม

Ligra Backup uses Google OAuth only to perform backup, verification, retention, and restore operations in the owner's Google Drive. This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, forms, or third-party tracking scripts.

The OAuth consent screen is configured with the scopes below. These permissions are technically broad because the backup software must upload, verify, rotate, and restore backup files.

Together, these scopes permit the app to view, create, edit, organize, and delete Drive files and folders, and to read file metadata.

Operational limit

Although the OAuth permission can cover Google Drive broadly, Ligra Backup is configured to use Google data only for the owner's backup workflow.

  • Upload encrypted backup archives.
  • List files and metadata to verify backup completion and age.
  • Apply the configured retention policy to old backup files.
  • Download selected archives when the owner requests a restore.

Google user data is not used for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, surveillance, or any purpose unrelated to backup and recovery.

Ligra Backup does not sell Google user data. Data is not shared with advertisers or data brokers. It may be processed only by infrastructure providers needed to operate the owner's VPS and Google Drive, or disclosed when required by applicable law.

Ligra Backup's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Security · ความปลอดภัย

When backup transfer is enabled, backup contents are encrypted before upload. OAuth credentials are stored in access-restricted configuration on the owner's VPS and are not displayed on this website. Human access is limited to the owner or an administrator acting directly for the owner when needed for security, maintenance, backup recovery, legal compliance, or with the owner's explicit instruction.

6. Retention and deletion · การเก็บและลบ

Backup files remain in the owner's Google Drive until removed by the configured retention process or deleted by the owner. Revoking access through Google invalidates future authorization, but it does not by itself erase the local OAuth token file from the VPS. Local OAuth credentials are deleted when the owner removes the integration. The owner can delete backup files directly in Google Drive.

The Google account owner can revoke Ligra Backup's access at any time from Google Account connections. Revocation stops future Drive operations but does not automatically delete backup files already stored in Drive.

The address is not repeated here because this is a private single-owner utility and the support address is a personal address that the owner chose not to publish on the open web.
